Mike Connaughton is in his second year at Saint Mary's College of Maryland studying Mathematics and Education. He is taking the steps to become a Mathematics Teacher and a Freelance Photographer. Mike became interested in Photography at a young age. Since then, he has developed his technical yet flowing style by applying a scientific mind to the art of photography. Mike has spent many sleepless nights working in the field, the dark room, and on Photoshop to achieve his vision. Some of his main influences are adventure photographers Jimmy Chin and Jeff Johnson.
While not studying, Mike spends most of his time outdoors, often switching between rock climbing, mountain biking, and trail running. Some of his most notable outdoor achievements include trekking the Kloof Corner Pinnacle Ridge, arguably the hardest scrambling root up South Africa's Table Mountain.
